![]() Brakes are 4-wheel drum and new 14” steel wheels with factory 'dog-dish' hubcaps mount Hankook radial tires. The straight-six is backed by an optional 2-speed Ford-O-Matic transmission. It sits in a clean engine compartment and looks much like it did on the showroom floor. The power train is Ford's bulletproof 'Mileage Maker' 144ci straight six. Carpets are new, the headliner is in good condition and an AM/FM radio has been added. Seating has been reupholstered in 2-tone blue cloth/vinyl and is much more appealing than the factory design. The Corinthian White finish is in good condition as is all chrome and stainless. It appears to have lived most of its life in the garage and is a survivor except for a 2014 respray of the original color and some upholstery work. There is little or no reason to doubt that - this Falcon is very original. The odometer reads 53,775 and the current owner (2nd) states that it is actual. This 1960 Falcon 2-door sedan comes to us from somewhat of a time machine. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a rebuilt four-speed manual Toploader transmission and a 3.30:1-geared limited-slip differential. ![]() The serial number indicates that the vehicle was originally powered by a 170ci inline-six. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles, although true mileage is unknown the selling dealer has added approximately 500 miles.Ī rebuilt 289ci V8 sourced from Marshall Engines was installed during the refurbishment along with a replacement carburetor, distributor, pulleys, and other accessories. Aftermarket instrumentation includes a Sun Super Tach II 8k-rpm tachometer, and an under-dash cluster houses gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amperage. ![]() The tri-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal 100-mph speedometer. Features include a front split bench seat with a fold-down center armrest sourced from a period Mustang, a push-button AM radio, aftermarket speakers, a Hurst shifter, and lap belts. The interior has been refinished in black vinyl and features a matching dashboard and carpeting. Front disc brakes were installed as part of the refurbishment. Additional features include chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, a roll-down rear window, aftermarket side mirrors, and custom “Falcon Express” graphics on the upper rear side panels.Ĭhrome-finished 15″ Cragar wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial tires. The Sedan Delivery was one of ten configurations available with the Falcon nameplate in 1961, and this example was refinished in its current blue color during a refurbishment commissioned by a previous owner. The selling dealer acquired this Falcon in 2019, and it is now offered with some refurbishment records and a clean Massachusetts title. Features include 15″ Cragar wheels, dual exhaust outlets, front disc brakes, aftermarket speakers, and a Hurst shifter. ![]() The car underwent a refurbishment beginning in 2005 that reportedly included refinishing the body, refreshing the interior, and replacing the engine and transmission. This 1961 Ford Falcon Sedan Delivery is a wagon-based model finished in blue over black vinyl and powered by a 289ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission.
